16th Annual African and African American Student Reception
August 19, 2009 (Wed) || 4:30-6:30pm || Griffith Film Theater, Bryan Center, West Campus
Students of African descent and their families are invited to meet members of the university and Durham communities. Reception begins at 4:30 in the Griffith Film Theater Lobby followed by a formal program in Griffith Film Theater.
The Class of 2013 will represent the 46th class of students of African and African American descent to attend Duke University. Students and their families will meet many faculty, staff and upperclass students with whom they will interact while at Duke. This year’s program will begin at 4:30pm with a reception in the Griffith Film Lobby. We will adjourn to the Griffith Film Theater for a brief formal program followed by a panel of faculty/staff who will share their views re: strategies for success at Duke. This event is organized by the Multicultural Center, Mary Lou Williams Center for Black Culture and the Duke University Black Alumni Connection (DUBAC).
