Say Something: A Staged Reading with Playwright Dan Bacalzo
Directed by Prof. Sean Metzger & featuring Duke undergraduate and faculty performers!
Say Something is about two men - one
Asian and one white - who have reached a point in their
relationship at which they are thinking about why they are
together. One of the men is a playwright and is writing a play
about his own relationship. The dynamics of the principal
characters are repeated and interrogated (to some degree) through
the complementary couple within the play. Here's a
review of the play in the Theatre Journal (site
available to subscribers only - Duke network users should have full
access).
