CENTRALIZATION


What is Centralization?

Centralization is the general organization of assets and resources of a group or organization into a system that is easy to use, access, and change. This system has the ability to contribute to effective programming, efficient communication, and fruitful outreach initiatives.

Why is Centralization Important?

Centralization basically boils down to being organized. It often entails being systematic or strategic. To be strategically organized helps organizations avoid recurrent pitfalls. Centralization helps to address these problems and keep the organization organized.

- Recurrent pitfalls:

  • Replacing important work that was not stored properly
  • Having inexperienced leaders due to poor transitional material
  • Miscommunicating of information
  • Missing important deadlines for things like contracts and funding proposals
